Public Spaces, Stoke Newington

  • Budget: £700,000
  • Status: Planning submitted 2009

Two new public spaces are proposed as part of the Wilmer Place Development. Masterplanned by David Long Architects and designed by Exterior Architecture, they provide a centrepoint for the development as well as a positive addition to the Stoke Newington townscape. The first public space is proposed as an active place framed with two cafés/restaurants and a small supermarket, as well as connections to Stoke Newington High Street and Stoke Newington Church Street. The second ‘urban courtyard’ is a quieter square providing frontages for the nursery unit, small business units, and the Primary Care Trust.
