The restaurant which fronts the High Street offers a new dining room enclosed by a simple radial wall with flat glass roof, extending through a newly created opening into the period shop premises which it abuts. The restaurant is the first phase of the redevelopment of this ‘brownfield’ site. It offers a quiet oasis, hidden from the High Street, which may be glimpsed through the glazed slot separating the new building from the existing shop premises.
