Castlenau – Small Office Development, Barnes
The project demonstrates an economical sustainable redevelopment of a brown field site, housing a small office building on a site used for carparking to the rear of Castlenau. The proposal is to provide a new office building on 2 stories, the lower storey being set down by half a level, and incorporates a parking lift system which allows the stacking of cars to accommodate 4 cars on 2 spaces. The construction above ground will be timber framed, with a sophisticated wall construction system, and a green roof system on the roof, allowing high thermal performance and excellent maintenance characteristics and life-cycle.
