Eaton Place – Private House, Belgravia
A Grade II listed house in a terrace designed by Thomas Cubitt and probably constructed between 1840 and 1850. The house has at some time, since the second world war, been divided into 4 flats and has lost some of its original features. The brief from the client was to return the house to a single dwelling, offering a luxurious contemporary town house in the heart of London’s west end. Fundamental to this was the insertion of a lift within the plan which is proposed to be centrally located allowing retention of the original stair.
