The existing terraced house is well located but offers cramped accommodation. Our proposal is to provide a new basement to the entire house, including a small and contemporarily designed rear extension. Natural light is brought into the lower level by providing a generous floor to ceiling height, and cutting away the ground floor at both front and rear elevations to provide double height spaces, and promote linkage between basement and ground floor accommodation.
