First Avenue – Private House, Mortlake
This project comprised a complete refurbishment of the house, with a ground floor and roof extension. The design of the ground floor sought to create a series of distinct spaces linked with views through the house and out to the landscaped garden. The proposal included a large glazed sliding door assembly to a new external patio, a projecting glass box/window seat extending from the kitchen into the garden, and a large rooflight above the living area. Utility areas were contained within a strip separating the new modern rear of the property from the more traditional front of the property.
