Old Pipers – Private House, Midhurst
An existing cottage in disrepair was bought by the clients with planning permission for a large mock Georgian country house. They approached us to obtain permission for a simplified and revised design, based on a simplified ‘country Georgian’ style. Local materials were specified, the bricks being produced in the same village, reclaimed tiles and doors from a local architectural salvage yard, and windows hand made in Kent.
